Double earnings per referral!

A few months ago, on our 6th birthday, we announced a list of changes to WordLinx that would improve things for both members and advertisers. Over the last few weeks we have implemented these changes one by one (see below). However, this week, we are putting something major in place that will affect thousands of members – 10% per referral click and 10% per referral credit purchase for Verified members! This includes Verified Plus members!

Verified/VP members currently get paid 5% per referral, however to increase the amount of new members and advertisers we will now set this to DOUBLE the amount! That’s right! If you have a Verified/VP account, your earnings from referrals will be twice as much from this Friday!

Best of all, Verified membership is still only $10 per year, or $59 for a lifetime upgrade (Verified Plus). This offers incredible value, as many of our competitors charge up to $99 for just one year! WordLinx gives you much more for your money too, as all upgrade levels come with enhanced targeting, added features and credits that can be spent on advertising, or on products from our download store.

Here’s what we have completed so far…

  • More paid adverts for all members! Available!
  • Basic members will earn 5% per referral click only. Scrapped! Basic members will still earn 5% per referral click AND 5% per referral purchase!
  • Verified and Verified Plus members will earn 10% per referral sale (up to $50 per purchase!) and 10% per referral click. This week!
  • Premier membership will be removed. Done!
  • Pro members will earn 20% per referral sale (up to $100 per purchase!) and 20% per referral click. Coming soon!
  • Advertisers will no longer have to subscribe to target verified buyers and members by age, gender or location. Done!
  • Targeting features will be available to all advertisers who will pay a new flat fee of 10% plus $4.99 USD (still very cheap!) Done!
  • Pro members will pay just $0.01 USD per visitor (no fees!) Done!
  • 500 visitors package will be removed and a new 2000 visitors package will be introduced. Done!

And introducing, for upgraded members only, Tier 2 and Tier 3 stats! As all members can earn from referral upgrades on 3 levels ($0.50 per referral upgrade or $1.00 per upgrade for Pro members) we thought it only fair to reward our Verified, Verified Plus and Pro members with stats to show their full downline. We hope to have this up and running very soon.

In other news, we have adjusted our criteria for selling referrals, so there are now enough available to sell regularly, instead of just once a month. A limited amount of referrals are put on sale at a different time every few days. The exact time is posted on our Twitter feed, to give all members a fair chance of buying.

As usual, a huge thank you to all our members, advertisers and Twitter followers for making WordLinx such a success. Over 6 years online, when most ‘bux’ sites don’t make it past 6 months. This is an incredible achievement, and doubly so in such harsh financial circumstances.

Announcing another world first from WordLinx – a branded Flash game you can use to build your downline! You can find the code in the Referrals section by clicking More Banners & Links. Since we introduced our new sharing system, thousands of adverts have been spread across the web, encouraging advertisers to spend more than ever before. This resulted in a huge boost in paid adverts for all members. To keep this level of adverts, it’s very important that members continue to share links on social networks and by email.

Now We Are Six!

Today is WordLinx’s 6th birthday! Over the last few years we’ve taken the site from ‘just another PTC’ to a membership of nearly 200,000 with a top 10,000 Alexa rank. Our site is now considered by many as one of the top three PTCs in the world. Our drive to innovate and improve has created many unique features. These have helped us to keep the site online during these difficult times.

So, what does the future hold? What do we have in store for our many members and advertisers? Well, due to the success of our junction sites and new sharing system, we’re pleased to announce that we’ll be increasing payments for all upgraded members! We’ll also be simplifying our whole referral system, so it’s easier to understand for new and potential members. Here’s what we have planned…

Paid Credits are credits that have been paid for, instead of earned. They can be spent on advertising, or on products from our download store. If you upgrade or buy visitors, the Paid Credits are added to your balance ready to spend.

Due to the current economic climate, WordLinx has recently had fewer paid links to click. However, by using your Paid Credits (which for most members are just sitting in accounts unused) you can help provide more adverts for everyone while promoting your favourite website, blog, profile or affiliate link.

Simply login and click My Adverts to check how many Paid Credits you have. Each credit is worth one real visitor to the site of your choice. To advertise the website, just click How To Advertise and follow the steps (of course, missing out the Buy Visitors part). New sharing system explained!

For as long as WordLinx has been online, we’ve constantly innovated and created new features. WordLinx is the only PTC with a network of junction sites, the only PTC with special level bonuses and a coin chart, the first PTC to pay a stable $0.01 USD rate and one of the only high paying PTCs left that still supports PayPal payments – the list goes on!

The online world is changing every day, and ‘web 2.0′ is just the start. The internet is more viral than ever before. A YouTube video can receive millions of hits from all over the world within minutes of being posted. Flash games are passed from person to person by email. Brands can increase exposure by using social networks, and everything can be shared to thousands of people in seconds.

Now WordLinx has harnessed this viral power!

Advertisers. Before now, you’d create an advert and run a campaign to attract visitors to your website. Our new sharing system means your advert will still receive the visitors you pay for, but it will also be shared throughout the web by email and on popular social networks like Facebook, MySpace, Digg and Twitter!

For the first time ever, advertising on WordLinx will promote your link to the entire web! WordLinx is the only PTC in the world with this system!

Each member that visits your site can create a special link that can be shared manually, or instantly by using the share button (click to see all the options available). Each member is encouraged to share links as we have also incorporated their Referral ID, so they are credited for any visitors that sign up through it.

For example, a member views your link and decides to share it by email. The person that receives the email views the shared link and visits your website. That person can then also share your link with the people they know. This way your link can be passed on again and again - at no extra cost! Your link will remain online as long as it is approved. Then if you want to boost your viral exposure again, just buy more visitors! Login and click How To Advertise to get started!

Members. You will still get paid to click on links as before. In that respect, nothing will change. You can still earn and refer just as you always have done. However, you can now also earn in a whole new way too – for free! By sharing links by email and on social networks, you will also be promoting your Referral ID, as it is included with each link you share.

This means if a person views your shared link and signs up, you will gain them as a referral in your downline and you’ll earn for anything they click or spend. Also by sharing links you will provide better returns for our advertisers, which will encourage them to return and spend again, which will create more paid adverts!

5 tips for earning more!

Want to earn more with WordLinx? If you’re a new member, or you simply haven’t had chance to check out all our features, this list will help you get the most from your membership.

1. Download our toolbar. WordLinx has a brand new toolbar you can download for free! By using the toolbar you can access the Browse Ads page at any time, no matter where you are on the web. You can also keep up to date with everything happening on the network with direct feeds from this blog and our Twitter page. Visit http://wordlinx.ourtoolbar.com to find out more.

2. Check back regularly. Unlike many other PTCs, we add new paid links throughout the day. We therefore recommend that you click the ‘Stay logged in all day’ checkbox when you login. You can then access the Browse Ads page without having to login again each time you return to the site. Simply visit WordLinx and click the Browse Ads link at the top of the front page or download our new toolbar.

3. Join our mailing list. By joining our mailing list you can get paid up to $0.05 for every paid email you receive from us. Simply login and click My Account, then click Update Profile / Change Settings and check the Receive email box.

4. Refer other members. The most powerful way to earn with WordLinx is by creating your own downline. This will allow you to earn money and credits without logging in! Simply promote our banners and links on traffic exchanges, other PTCs, PPC advertising networks and/or your own website (if you have one) and you’ll be able to recruit new members to our program. Login and click Referrals to find out more.

5. Upgrade your account. Verified, Verified Plus, Premier and Pro members generally have triple the amount of paid adverts that Basic members have. Upgraded members also earn more from their downline and are given credits to spend on visitors or products from our download store.
